What are the most common romantic pairings for Enneagram type 3s?

Female 3s most often marrying 1s, 6s, 9s, and 7s, and Male 5s most often marrying 6s, 9s, 2s, and 7s (in that order)

Certain type 3 pairings are more common than others, though any type combination can occur and thrive. The marriage data we compiled and analyzed was broken down by gender, with Female 3s most often marrying 1s, 6s, 9s, and 7s, and Male 5s most often marrying 6s, 9s, 2s, and 7s (in that order).

When we remove gender as a variable, 3s overall most often marry 6s, 1s, and 9s, and least often marry 5s, 8s, and 3s. All type combinations bring shared and unique elements to the relationship!

Most common:

3s and 6s sharepracticality, playfulness, adaptability. 3s bring confidence, efficiency, optimism, while 6s bring compassion, thoroughness, realism. s2 and 1s share competence, self-improvement, poise. 3s bring charm, action, optimism, while 1s bring integrity, thoroughness, realism. 3s and 9s share adaptability, optimism, poise. 3s bring confidence, action, vision, while 9s bring conscientiousness, acceptance, encouragement.

Average:
